Deviant for 12 years, wow.  Props to DA for never purging my account even when I didn't log on for years at a time.

I have returned in search of ponies, but had to take a moment to be impressed that my account was still here.
Thanks so much for the watch! :glomp: Wow, this is the first time I've seen someone who's been here from 2001!
Believe it or not, I was randomly surfing about teh int0rwebs and came across some really awesome work apparently by you that was Meowth as various versions of Red Dwarf characters. I'd been looking to see if you had them on DA, which apparently you didn't, but I watched you anyway just in case there will be more someday. ^_^

YES!!! OH SO CLEVER!
General question since I'm unsure of the protocol around here. I generally take my photos at a very high resolution and cut them down quite a bit for web posting. I've noticed that DeviantArt will take my fullsized images. What's the favored/advisable size to post in?
When posting artwork, I generally try to keep my files under 200 KB...JPEG format still allows for a lot of detail at that size. Ideally, if you can keep images to around/under 150 KB, that keeps the download time manageable for everyone (especially considering people with 56 Kb or slower modems).

Another generally good guideline would be to try to keep the total image size (in pixels) no larger than about 1024X768...that way, when someone fullviews the image, they aren't forced to scroll all over the place.

Did this help? I don't really think there's a true protocol involved in posting to DA...just be considerate of other peoples' technological limitations...primarily bandwidth, as that seems to be one of the biggest issues for most of us. :)
